about
This song was inspired by my dad calling me, practically fuming, that I never told him my music was on the radio. He legit thought Blinding Lights by The Weeknd was me. I'm not sure why he thought that, maybe because it's 80s inspired and my previous band was as well, but it was very humorous to me. I was in a rut musically, but that inspired me to keep going - hoping that someday I'll get that same call again, but this time it's actually me!
lyrics
You say you heard me on the radio
There’s something wrong with your stereo
Oh I think you’re hearing things
Think you’re hearing things
The quitting’s good but it’s overrated
Make up your mind, not so complicated
Oh I just can’t catch a break
No more I can fake
Out of reach or I just can’t shake it
Getting out oh I just can’t take it anymore
Out of reach or I just can’t shake it
Getting out oh I just can’t take it anymore
Changed it up for a little bit
Don’t quite know what to make of it
I’m just having fun
Oh I’m just having fun
Tried enough just to make a splash
Sell it off just to make a stack
I won’t hold my breathe
Oh I won’t hold my breathe
Out of reach or I just can’t shake it
Getting out oh I just can’t take it anymore
(Once more)
Out of reach or I just can’t shake it
Getting out oh I just can’t take it anymore
Out of reach or I just can’t shake it
Getting out oh I just can’t take it anymore
(Once more)
Out of reach or I just can’t shake it
Getting out oh I just can’t take it anymore
